How to Change a WordPress Post Author?

If you want your name to be displayed on someone else’s WordPress post, just follow these instructions.

Guttenberg Block Editor

Open the post you need to edit. Select the Post section in right-hand sidebar. In Status & Visibility section find the Autor dropdown. Select a new author’s name from the dropdown menu. Click Update to save the changes.

Classic WordPress Editor

Open the post you need to edit. Click the Screen Options button at the upper right coner. Find the Author option and check the box. Click the current author’s name and select a new one’s name in the dropdown. Click Update to save the changes.

Quick Edit Screen

Go to Posts > All Posts. Here hover your cursor over the post you need to edit. A menu will apeear. Click the Quick Edit link. You will see the current author’s name, click it and select a new author from the list of available ones. Click Update to save the changes.
