Cannabis companies can now list on the London Stock Exchange
Despite their substantial presence, UK-based cannabis businesses have had difficulty dominating the British capital market. In the UK, medical marijuana has been allowed since 2018. But none of these businesses has been successful in getting listed on the London Stock Exchange. (LSE).
September 2020 saw a positive shift as a result of the Financial Conduct Authority. (FCA). The FCA developed a series of rules in September that would permit them to list on the LSE. According to one of these rules, businesses can only be listed if they offer cannabis for medicinal purposes.
Numerous companies located in the UK now have hope thanks to this change. Although 2021 has gotten off to a slow start, these businesses have gotten right to work. A few of them are competing to trade first on the LSE.
