Client

After decades in the industry, the founders of Grounded have built the creative agency that helps clients generate over $1B in sales. They do this by establishing clear brands, driving growth through creative and digital marketing, scaling with consistent systems and campaigns, prioritizing clarity, execution, and sustainable results.

They’ve helped build some of the best brands: The Chicago Cubs, Dixxon Flannel, Juan Valdez, Crayola Flowers, Breville, Chirp, and more.

Goal

Our goal was to transform Grounded’s creative vision into a dynamic website that reflects the agency’s expertise in brand building and strategic marketing. We focused on translating the design into a highly interactive experience while maintaining performance, clarity, and visual precision.

The website was developed as a fully custom WordPress theme with a modular page builder, allowing the client to easily create and manage pages and case studies without technical support. Particular attention was given to smooth animations and interactions using GSAP and ScrollTrigger to bring motion and personality to the interface.

CUSTOM DEVELOPMENT

Our task was to create a website using a WordPress custom theme written from scratch. We developed a flexible builder with a set of sections that compose pages and case studies.

When creating this theme, we implemented various animations using GSAP and ScrollTrigger. This allows elements to move dynamically – such as images scrolling from top to bottom and text blocks rotating – bringing the interface to life.

SIGNATURE SVG ANIMATION & VISUAL IDENTITY

We brought exclusivity to the project through a custom hand-drawn animation. The website visitors are greeted with a highly complex, illustrative sequence created using SVG technology.

The animation was built with GSAP, ScrollTrigger, and DrawSVGPlugin, and finely tuned to reinforce the brand’s unique visual identity and create a cohesive creative concept.

CUSTOM GOOGLE MAPS INTEGRATION

We strive to make every website both interactive and distinctive. To achieve this, we created a fully custom Google Map.

From roads and buildings to the color palette, every visual element was tailored to match the interface. Custom blocks simplify address search, powered by the Google API and a custom JavaScript. All locations and the client’s address are easily managed directly from the admin panel.

INTERACTIVE VIDEO WITH CUSTOM CURSOR EXPERIENCE

We’re always looking for ways to make our clients’ websites stand out and leave a lasting impression.

To capture attention, we added a unique video interaction to the homepage. A custom cursor appears when the video is expanded, allowing users to mute or unmute with a single click – and the cursor text changes accordingly when toggling the sound.

AJAX FILTERING & CUSTOM ADMIN PANEL

The Work page features a category filter for custom posts, implemented without page refreshes using AJAX. It supports multiple selections, making it extremely convenient for users.

Beyond building the site from scratch with a custom theme, we developed a highly intuitive admin panel. Combined with unique modular sections, this solution makes the site effortless for the client to manage and update.
