Goal

Over the years, Digital Octane has partnered with numerous agencies, providing a wide range of strategic services. For this project, our challenge was to animate Big Day’s creative design – bringing static elements to life and making them dynamic. We also developed an intuitive admin panel, allowing Big Day to manage content effortlessly and efficiently. In addition, we built a custom landing page builder, enabling the client to design new pages independently, without our assistance.
This project carried special weight: we were building the agency’s own storefront. The moment a potential client lands on the homepage, they decide whether to reach out. Getting it right was essential – every detail had to be flawless and thoroughly tested.

FLEXIBLE BUILDER

For the Work page, we built a custom builder using Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), based on pre-designed content blocks. This flexible, user-friendly solution lets the client create and manage portfolio pages with minimal effort while maintaining design consistency across the site.
The client also provided a full set of animation references, which streamlined the process. Before development began, we held several detailed discussions to align on requirements – a collaborative approach that prevented misunderstandings and ensured the final product matched their vision from the start.

FRONTEND & ANIMATIONS

We developed the frontend in line with the provided design mockups, with a particular focus on implementing complex hero-section animations. By using and adapting the libraries supplied by the client, we ensured smooth and consistent animation behavior during slide transitions. To support this functionality, the library was modified to align with the client’s reference example, Liquid Distortion Effect – Example 5.

In addition, we created a custom animated fisheye element that responds to user input within the contact form. When the initial images didn’t meet our expectations, we designed the eye from scratch using SVG code. This approach allowed us to surpass the original requirements in both visual quality and interactivity.

RESULT

The remainder of the project followed a clear and efficient path. We finalized the frontend, integrated it into the website, and conducted extensive QA testing. Once performance and visuals were fully verified, the site was deployed to a live domain, followed by technical SEO to ensure fast indexing.
The outcome is a fast, reliable, and straightforward website that the agency now uses on a daily basis. With the flexible constructor in place, the client can independently add new projects to the Work page as needed.
