Bride To Be

Client

Bride To Be is a creative studio that makes digital products for weddings and events. Their catalog includes website templates, digital invitations, and customizable layouts to help couples make their celebrations memorable. They’re known for their designs and making wedding visuals available to everyone, even if they don’t have design skills.

Goal

Bride To Be approached us with a clear plan: turn their custom Figma design into a simple Shopify store. Besides looking good, the website needed to handle their product setup. They sell two kinds of digital products, and each one has to be delivered in its own way. The store needed to be easy to update, able to sell new products, and look good to show off the studio’s style.

The Challenge

What seemed like a straightforward Shopify build turned out to be more complex. The brand sells two types of digital goods: instant-delivery templates via Canva and templates that require manual setup for later delivery, such as Squarespace sites. Shopify doesn’t natively support separate delivery logic, so we had to create a solution that worked smoothly for both customers and the Bride To Be team.

At the same time, the theme needed to match the Figma design, allow easy updates for products, collections, and blog posts, and adjust where Shopify’s limitations prevented exact replication.

Our Approach

  1. Clarifying Shopify Limits: we reviewed the Figma designs and identified where Shopify has limitations. We adjusted the design slightly to ensure the final product looked polished without fighting the platform.
  1. Theme Development: we built a custom Shopify theme including homepage, product pages, collection pages, and blogs.
  1. Simple Content Management: structured the admin so the Bride To Be team can manage products, collections, blog posts, and page content without touching code.

  1. Two Product Flows

This was the most technically challenging part and the core functionality of the store, as it needed to support two different delivery scenarios within a single system.

Canva templates:

If a product is a Canva template, the admin simply adds the “canva” tag. After purchase, the customer automatically receives an email containing a file with their Canva link. This automated workflow ensures instant delivery, eliminates manual actions for the team, and provides customers with a fast and frictionless experience right after checkout.

Squarespace templates:

If a product has the “squarespace” tag, the system follows a different delivery flow. Instead of receiving a downloadable file right after checkout, the buyer sees a message explaining that their website is being prepared and will be delivered within 24 hours. This approach fully reflects the client’s real business process, where Squarespace templates are manually duplicated, customized, and fine-tuned for each customer.

By clearly setting expectations at the purchase stage, customers understand the timeline and next steps, while the Bride To Be team can handle customization without pressure.

Both product flows work seamlessly together, minimizing manual effort for the team and providing a smooth, professional experience for every customer.

Result

The new Bride To Be website is a polished, easy-to-manage Shopify store that follows the Figma design closely and helps the studio with its work.  The site features a fully custom theme that matches the client’s design, streamlined content management, and custom delivery logic for two types of digital products. Launched on time and within budget, the platform now allows Bride To Be to scale their catalog, publish new templates, and offer a professional shopping experience.

The project was fully developed by Digital Octane, ensuring design accuracy, technical stability, and smooth business operations across the entire platform.
