Bride To Be is a creative studio specializing in digital products for weddings and events. Their catalog spans website templates, digital invitations, and fully customizable layouts – all designed to help couples craft celebrations that feel personal and memorable. They’re widely recognized for their refined aesthetic and their commitment to making beautiful wedding visuals accessible to everyone, regardless of design experience or technical background.

As a studio built around creativity and personalization, Bride To Be needed a web presence that reflected the same warmth and elegance found in their products – a platform that could showcase their catalog clearly while speaking directly to couples in the middle of planning one of the most important days of their lives.

This project was developed in close collaboration with Sarah and Beca at Blueprint Studio, whose design vision and carefully crafted mock-ups defined the creative direction from the start. Their deep understanding of the Bride To Be brand – its softness, attention to detail, and emotional tone – translated into a design system that was as thoughtful as it was beautiful, making the development process a seamless and rewarding experience to build on.

Goal

Bride To Be approached us with a clear plan: turn their custom Figma design into a simple Shopify store. Beyond visual appeal, the website needed to support their product structure, as they offer two kinds of digital products, each one requiring a different delivery method. The store needed to be easy to update, able to sell new products, and effectively showcase the studio’s distinctive style.

THE CHALLENGE

What initially seemed like a straightforward Shopify build turned out to be more complex. The brand offers two types of digital products: instant-delivery templates via Canva and templates that require manual setup and later delivery, such as Squarespace sites. Since Shopify does not natively support separate delivery logic, we developed a solution that works seamlessly for both customers and the Bride To Be team.

At the same time, the theme needed to match the Figma design, remain flexible for ongoing updates to products, collections, blog posts and adapt where Shopify’s limitations prevented exact replication.

OUR APPROACH

  • Clarifying Shopify Limits
We reviewed the Figma designs and identified where Shopify has limitations. We adjusted the design slightly to ensure the final product looked polished without working against the platform.
  • Theme Development
We built a custom Shopify theme, including the homepage, product pages, collection pages, and blog.
  • Simple Content Management
We structured the admin so the Bride To Be team can manage products, collections, blog posts, and page content without needing to touch code.

TWO PRODUCT FLOWS

This was the most technically challenging aspect of the project and a core part of the store’s functionality, as it needed to support two distinct delivery scenarios within a single system.
  • Canva Templates
If a product is a Canva template, the admin simply assigns the “canva” tag. After purchase, the customer automatically receives an email containing a file with their Canva link. This automated workflow ensures instant delivery, removes the need for manual actions, and provides customers with a fast, seamless experience immediately after checkout.

  • Squarespace Templates

If a product is tagged as “squarespace,” the system follows a different delivery flow. Instead of receiving a downloadable file immediately after checkout, the customer sees a message explaining that their website is being prepared and will be delivered within 24 hours. This approach closely reflects the client’s real business process, where Squarespace templates are manually duplicated, customized, and refined for each customer.

By clearly setting expectations at the point of purchase, customers understand the timeline and next steps, while the Bride To Be team can carry out customization without added pressure.

Both product flows work seamlessly together, minimizing manual effort for the team while delivering a smooth, professional experience for every customer.

THE RESULT

The new Bride To Be website is a polished, easy-to-manage Shopify store that closely follows the original Figma design while supporting the studio’s day-to-day operations. The site features a fully custom theme, streamlined content management, and tailored delivery logic for two types of digital products. Delivered on time and within budget, the platform allows Bride To Be to scale their catalog, publish new templates, and provide a professional shopping experience.
